Montana, the Blackfoot, Clark Fork, Bitterroot rivers, and Rock Creek -
One day I was out with my fishing buddy and was eager to try my brand-new fly rod. I was geared up and headed to the water when I had to retrieve one more thing from the truck. Upon returning to the truck, I leaned my rod against it and grabbed the item. Upon getting it, I closed the door and promptly chopped the rod in half. To add insult to injury there was a spectacular mayfly hatch, and my pal was killing it with a blue dun while I stood by helplessly, neither of us having a spare rod at the time.
Inspired by that accident I developed the E-Z Lean fly rod support. This invention is hand-made by me in Polson, Montana of the finest materials available. Constructed of an 800-spine weight carbon fiber shaft for maximum weight to strength ratio (at less than 7 /32" diameter), stainless steel spike and stop, and rubber coated spring steel hoop. This fly rod support clocks in at a mere 30 grams (1.1 oz.).
